    product key problems

I purchased.a builders ( I think it is called) version of Win 7. It worked just fine. A week and a half ago our house got hit by a lightening strike. Our electronics got hit big time to include Hubby's pc my pc, modem, 2 routers, my external hard drive, DirecTV box, and big screen TV.
In trying to get my new pc up and going the product key isn't being activated.
PLEASE I am desperate we have spent so much already trying to up and running so any ideas would be most appreciated.

Call Microsoft or use their online activation site.

Genuine Windows Validation - Microsoft Download Center

I would just call MS at 800.426.9400 they'll work you through the validation just have your product key handy.

Thank you, Thank you. Thank you, Thank you! I just called the automated system, but had to be transferred to a real live person due to system not being able to understand my spoken numbers. Real live person stepped me through the setup to make my Windows 7 genuine. According to him my system is now genuine.
