Installing Windows 7 Failed Activation

Guys I need help.
My desktop pc (HP Touchsmart 300) broke down and the technician told me to change the disk. He changed the hard drive and installed again Windows 7 Home Premium. A fiew days ago, I did a clean Windows install, by downloading the .iso file file from the web (Microsoft's webpage I think). I burned it to a disk and I started the installation. When i asked for a Serial Number, I wrote the key, who was behind the pc. The setup continued, but when I entered the Windows desktop for first time, a message poped up saying "This version of windows is not genique"-something like that. I re-entered the serial but again nothing! What is wrong? Did the hard drive change affected my windows activation?

Thanks,
Dennis

Hello Dennis, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Did you get the ISO file from here below?
Microsoft: Windows 7 Direct Download Links
For now, you might see if you may be able to activate by phone instead.

Ignore errors produced when clicking on theCopy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup filesfor some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to yourresponse.

Please also statethe Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one)on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOTquote the Key on the sticker!
