I've uploaded afile - mr1ab.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive

Please downloadand save it.

Right-click onthe downloaded file, and select Extract all…

Extract to thedefault location - which will create a new folder mr1abin the same place.

Open this folder- there should be one folders inside it (Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to thefolder

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

Nowrun the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Postthe new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

If you run SUR again... no errors anymore in CheckSUR.log ?
SFC/SCANNOW ... no integrity errors?

After reboot the IE9 patch doesn't install as well? Anymore patches that don't install?

Hmmm - how do you uninstall IE9 when it's not installed in the first place??

Mark - please run another SFC /SCANNOW, and post the new CBS.log file - also post your C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log file.

SFC /SCANNOW is giving a clean bill of health.

Please find the log files.
They appear good now?

Update still no good though, have rebooted and run again, still no joy.

IE9 does not appear on the windows install list in control panel but is running ok!

Cheers.

IE 9 will appear in the normal Programs & Features install list, rather than the Installed Updates list - if it's anywhere.

Tried all three from 2579295, no luck I'm afraid.

I do seem to have 2 versions of IE9, one for 32 and one for 64 bit.

Cheers
