Nobody seems to have noticed that the Key in your report is the Default Key for Windows - which can never be activated.

You need tto change the Key to a valid one, and then activate that.

Nic, check at Computer>Properties that you are now Activated after inserting the Product Key as instructed.

Thanks all - it seems the saga is over. After putting in my code I then had a message on my desktop that it wasn't an original version. I ran MGADiag.exe again and that seemed to solve the problem.

Gregrocker I checked the properties and it said it was activated + provided a product ID.

Did you use the Acer Win7 Upgrade kit DVD for the reinstall, or the latest official installer suggested from Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 ?

What all did you install since then, exactly?
