Cannot install Win7 service pack 1

Cannot update Windows 7 Home Premium with Service pack 1 (several updates for .Net Framework 3.5 and 4 cannot be installed as well which can be related as I suppose).
    Error codes: "WindowsUpdate_80073712" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"
Checksur.exe reports about single problem, a manifest concerning some .Net Framework 2 components. Log is attached.
    Thank you!

Your CheckSUR log shows the following problem...
    Code:
    Unavailable repair files:
     winsxs\manifests\x86_mscorlib_b77a5c561934e089_6.1.7600.20935_none_856b2ae59753672a.manifest
The SFC scan results are error-free, and the background CBS log is pretty clean as well.

I'll post a fix protocol in a few minutes

    I've uploaded afile - anoaa.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive

    Please downloadand save it.

Right-click onthe downloaded file, and select Extract all…

Extract to thedefault location - which will create a new folder anoaain the same place.

Open this folder- there should be one folders inside it (Manifests)

Copy the content of the manifestsfolder (.manifest files) into this folder:

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Nowrun the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Postthe new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

Then run another SFC /SCANNOW, and post the new CBS.log file.

If the SFC comes back clean, try installing SP1 again - what error message do you get (if any)?
