    did you find issue with Windows Update Cleanup?


    Hi
    Windows: Microsoft has released a Windows 7 update that adds a new option in the Disk Cleanup tool called Windows Update Cleanup. With it, you can free up several gigabytes of hard drive space from the bloated Windows Updates folder
    did you find issue with this update?
    i mean using the new feature , Disk Clean up with windows update cleanup Turned ON?

    like BSOD , or other general issues?

    would be nice to share

    Ran disk clean and removed the old windows updates it listed with no problems to date.

    did you install it via w7 update or internet expolorer?

    i installed from explorere it's Windows6.1-KB2852386-x64.msu

    but i have 144 updates not cleaned

    does this tool clean all the updated ?
    i have a long list..

    look the screenshot , the updates are still there

    Actually the tool is documented as
    This update adds a new plugin to the Disk Cleanup wizard. After you install this update, you can use the Windows Update Cleanup option to delete Windows updates that you no longer need.
    from here:
    Update is available that enables you to delete outdated Windows update

    It does not say all updates.

    I just want to "Thank you" to whoever moved this from General Discussion. I'd thought about requesting a move but wasn't sure it was something a general user could do.

    I find it quite confusing to have to go back & forth from different forums/threads to find info on the same subject. I found that out when I was guilty myself of posting to 2 similar threads. Since then, I try to remember to "Search" for a topic.

    And I appologize if this post should have been somewhere else.
