How do I dual boot Windows 8 on a Windows 7 computer

Yes, I'm wanting to upgrade my laptop from windows 7 to windows 8 but I want to dual boot it first before I upgrade to test it out. My friend (who is a computer wiz) and I can't figure it out. we have the software ready to go but we are having problems with the dual boot, the main problem is not enough driver space. an open option that we have is install 8 and remove 7 but we can't figure that out either, so any advice or directions? I got too many files on here but not enough back-up space..

You are likely to have problems - depending on which license type you have for Windows 8.
Win8 will NOT allow a dual boot scenario if you purchased an upgrade license.

If you have a Full license, then what you want is possible, but your best option is to ask in the Windows 8 forum here.... www.eightforums.com
