    I need Package_2_for_KB2699988

    Dear experts

I am having issues with my windows update on my window 7 home premium.
I can't update to Window 7 SP1 and can't install internet explorer 9 (it appears in my update list) but strangely i am using internet explorer 9 now...

my cbs persist log is attached here.

    Thanks for your help.

    Your sincerely

You've obviously made some inroads into repairing this yourself - the number of errors in the last CheckSUR scan is less than the previous one, and CheckSUR managed to fix some of them.

There's only one error remaining there to fix...
    Code:
    Unavailable repair files:
     servicing\packages\Package_2_for_KB2699988~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~9.4.1.0.mum
     servicing\packages\Package_2_for_KB2699988~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~9.4.1.0.mum
     servicing\packages\Package_2_for_KB2699988~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~9.4.1.0.cat
     servicing\packages\Package_2_for_KB2699988~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~9.4.1.0.cat
(note the duplication, and CAT and MUM files must always be replaced in tandem)

There's no other obvious errors present.

I'll post a fix protocol for these a bit later.

    I've uploaded afile - tggaa.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive

    Please downloadand save it.

Right-click onthe downloaded file, and select Extract all…

Extract to thedefault location - which will create a new folder tggaain the same place.

Open this folder- there should be one folder inside it (Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to thefolder

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.
