The Key in use isan MSDN Key from a not-for-resale MSDN account.

Unless you are anMSDN subscriber, you are not entitled to use the Key – and whoever sold it toyou was not entitled to do so.

You need to claiman immediate refund from the vendor - do NOT accept the offer of a new key (allthey are trying to do is to get past the 45-day claims window or avoid yousending the evidence of their crimes to the authorities)

The pirates havegot VERY good at this over the past few years, as the price of equipment formanufacturing the packages drops, and as factories open in less well-policedcountries.

FYI, the machine probably shipped with Vista installed - and should have a COA sticker for that on the case.
A true Refurb should ALSO have another COA sticker on the case, for the installed OS.
This one cannot have such a sticker, because the installed OS is a 'Retail' one - which would possibly cost more than the machine itself is worth second-hand.
