Quick Question: The windows 7 product key is invalid for activation"

    Hi friends Bobby Light here!

I keep getting this error message "The windows 7 product key you typed is invalid for activation"

I purchased my version of Win7pro from a "friend" and he said the code should work but it is not... I asked him for more help and he said he is unavailable at this time.

Real Quick Question... is this pop up just going to keep popping up or at some phase stage does the whole system lock down? And I can not get into my stuff at all with no recourse at some point. Many thanks and I guess I just want to know what happens if you just keep ignoring the pop up. Says I need to activate but what if I simply don't?

    Best regards,
    Bobby Light

    2. Run the tool, and then click Copy - ignore any errors if they appear

    3. Use CTRL+V to paste the unedited results of the tool here in your next reply

Thanks so much Golden for the reply!

My question though was simply what if I do nothing? What if I do absolutely nothing, what will happen that is my question?

    Thanks,
    Bobby Light

Incorrect - some functionality will be locked out, but not since RTM Vista is the user disallowed from logging in in normal mode.
