I was offered IE11 on both my machines yesterday, but have hidden it as I plan on sticking with IE9 (and Chrome).

I'm holding fire on the main updates from today for a few days as usual, until I see whether they're causing any problems and likely to be unchecked/hotfixed.

I just updated a Win 7 32 Bit OS with Office 2010.
I updated the Office updates only, and it needed to re-boot.
I thought no big deal, and allowed it to re-boot.

It re-booted to the default OS (W7 x64) without showing me the Windows boot selection window.
This is a triple-boot PC, and I've never had that happen before...
Re-started again, and right back to the W7 x64 login.
I did a SHUT DOWN, then powered up and I got the Windows boot selection window, so I could select W7 32 Bit.
So, I thought not a real big deal - I'm the odd ball that uses multi-boot PCs...
Most people won't have this issue...
I think something is amiss with this months Office updates...
Now I have to finish this months updates to see what happens...
This system has MSE and there is a program update for MSE this month.

The downloads were still painfully slow

that is why i was wondering why office updates needed a reboot- this is the first time i had to reboot office updates in a long time. On my test machine it got hung up and i lost internet connection but putting it back to last best known configuration- fixed it

Can't disagree with you seeing a problem re-starting after applying Office updates only...
I didn't have a problem when I applied ALL updates including Office...
So far, seems to me applying ALL updates together works better than splitting them ... for me.
It's still VERY slow downloading

I had 12 with no mention of IE11, I do have IE10 installed. No Office, I use Libre.

Update process went close to normal for me.

David, it could be a MS server problem. I did 7 security updates that equaled 7MB and it took close to a minute to download those, then I did the IE10 security update (40MB) and I had that one in less than 10seconds. If it matters, I'm on Vz fios.

The installation process seemed to take longer, but that was probably just me.

I was offered IE11 yesterday and did my two PC's no issues and as mentioned the look is the same. The developer tool is very different (I don't use that much but noted it while making sure what was where). Looks like the changes were "under the hood".

Tonight I had 14 checked and one option (KB2830477) I do all checked and then check the remaining after reboot (works for me). All seems fine so far on two machines.

I had 11 updates this morning, including a MSE update & they installed without a problem. It is Wed Nov 13th here & we always get the Tuesday updates here on the Wednesday.

I installed IE11 yesterday, Tues here, as the update came through then. No problems with it installing either.

IE11 is an optional update for the moment to reduce the load on tge servers. Updates for it aren't necessary as they would have been included in the installation if you were connected at the time
