    Back again
    Completed requested tasks
    CBS log attached
    After running these instructions
    DIR %SystemRoot%\WinSxS\Temp\PendingRenames
    ICACLS %SystemRoot%\WinSxS\Temp\PendingRenames
    ATTRIB %SystemRoot%\WinSxS\Temp\PendingRenames

The computer indicated that it wanted to run updates when I went to turn it off .i tried but there was an error so I then ran them in small batches of 5 , 10 , or 20 and it has accepted almost all of them . Took a long time though.
It still starts up with the Boot Manager screen & gives me two options to choose from .I choose the Win 7 option not the recovered option
    cheers
    Nick

so we still need to repair that, but at least the scan appears to have completed properly this time.

What are the outstanding updates? What error messages do you get from them?

Please run the CheckSUR tool again, and post the new CheckSUR.log file.
