    Same updates repeating

I did a repair install (7 w SP1). That went ok. Now I'm trying to get the updates installed. I'm finding that 1 optional (see opt, the highlighted one) and 4 or 5 frame 4 net updates. They were already successfully installed or so it says. So why isn't the update checker picking up on the fact they are already there?

    Hello total confusion,

One quick method would be to hide the update to prevent it from being available to be installed.

If you like, you could also see if the "For a Repeatedly Succeeding Update" section in the tutorial below may be able to help.

    Hope this helps, :)

    Thanks Brink
I read your tutorial. Since I just did the reinstall I'll see if it fixes itself first. If not I'm try the link in the tutorial. When I checked the "installed updates", some of the same ones for that .net 4 thing installed successfully a couple of times already. I clicked on hide the update on 1 in the optional updates and got it right back.
Now I've got issues with my 7 Pro recognizing me external Had as a place to backup to. It shows it as there, but when I try to backup it gives me the error code 0x80070002. I looked it up, found a fix, tried to install but it said I didn't need it. Then I read in another post something about having a Nvidia USB is causing the problem. No solution suggested though.
