    I think most of your problems arise from the WMI failure.
    Repair install is a necessity, in my opinion.

    Also the stick at the bottom of the laptop says 'Windows 7 Pro Natl Academic Only OA' and the code is different from the key in my computer.

    Are you going to help me anymore? Since if i repair install it will ask for my activtion key and i don't want i o say thatits invalid or something like that.

    You have a readable COA sticker (Certificate Of Authentication) on desktop. Correct? It says win7 home premium ... correct? You can read the product key on the sticker?

    and no its windows 7 Professional not home premium what i'm saying is that the code is different than the code on my computer properaties! is it meant to be different?
