Failed IE9 Cumulative Security Update, error 80242016

Hello sevenforums, Today I installed 8 important updates one failed - "Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2898785)". I use firefox should I ignore the failed update or make sure that it is installed properly so I don't cause future problems. The update is "Important" it says so i the view installed updates.

One of the 8 updates was - "Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems" I uninstalled IE11 because it messed up my weather desktop gadget, and I didn't plan on using IE11.

I tried the standalone installer for the failed updated and got the "this update is not applicable to your computer" message. The only thing I can think of doing now is using system restore and trying to install the updates again. My antivirus was not disabled during the installation of the updates. Should I disable it? It never caused problems with any of my previous updates.

    Thank you for any help.
