oh how much I hate waiting for hours to install updates and that would be after re-installing Windows 7 SP1 its not easy waiting

Lesson learnt: check from time to time if windows update is doing its job properly
good idea - I usually check on the second Wednesday of every month (updates mostly come out on the second Tuesday).
