Windows detected not genuine after System Restore

Tried watfix, didn't do anything. Still detected not genuine.

Then i tried windows install repair, followed this tutorial
It always stuck at the part after "installing features and updates" at 66%
It says at compability that i need to deauthorize itunes because it will be affected but i didn't because i think i coul reinstall it after repair.
Will try the repair again after uninstalling itunes soon, and i will post the results

Still got stuck at 66% of 5th step then a message box saying installation cannot proceed and then it rebooted to rollback the setup

If this is the Asus factory preinstall then be aware it is a grossly inferior Win7 install to begin with, larded with bloatware and poorly-written duplicate software that conflicts with better versions built into Win7. For that reason no tech enthusiast would run such an install, but instead can do a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to experience on the PC for the first time native Win7 perfect performance.

If you want to try to force a Repair Install which must struggle to parse the worst written OEM software in the business, you can try unchecking everything in msconfig>Startup and >Services (after hiding MS Services), then reboot the PC to start the Repair Install again. Does it then report any issues?

Did you run the AVG uninstaller | Download tools and utilities to clean up that bloatware after removing it? Is there an uninstaller required for the other AV you had installed?

Does my asus being an FR(factory Refurbished) have anything with this issue? I'd like to stay away from clean reinstall because i have a lot of important autoCAD and other data in which i don't have any extra harddisk to backup to. Unless somehow there is a way to repair/reinstall windows 7 with only losing minimal data, and that is (as far as i know) repair installing windows.

I'll try your advice on msconfig and will post the results soon.
and i think i have uninstalled all av beforehand, Noel guided me to.

Tweaking msconfig didn't change a thing. Still failed installation at 66% in "Transferring settings, folders etc"

I read the thread about your AV uninstall and it says nothing about running the special tools required to fully uninstall the bloated ones like AVG. That's why I specifically asked you if you had run those tools. If in doubt run them again.

Are you running the factory preinstalled Win7 on there? That's the issue. You have the worst possible install one can have, one which is not worth keeping, and compounded by the especially bad software written by Asus.

I did the removal programs four times.
I borrowed my friend external HDD to backup to clean install windows like you said.

I downloaded the Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 U (media refresh) X17-58997.iso from here
I used the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool to make a bootable USB
I booted my laptop, changed the #1 priority to toshiba drv, saved and exit.
Then i try to install but this popped out
"A required cd/ dvd drive device driver is missing. If u have a driver floppy disk, cd, dvd or UBS flash drive, please insert it now etc"
I'm stuck there. Is there something i missed?
