    Always needing updates?

Hey guys, so I always have windows updates ready to install.

It constantly says in the windows update screen that I have 2 important updates to install and 37 optional updates to install (just unnecessary language packs) Regardless of whether I select to install them and then reboot, it still says I have the updates.

    Its just quite annoying.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks!

Check the update history. If you already have the updates or if you do not want them, right click on the updates and then hide. You will no longer be bothered.

Yeah that worked, and I think I already have the update. Just kinda weird that It would show up even if I have already installed the updates.

You can search installed updates to see if an update was installed.
My screen print examples show searching to see if KB2919469 was installed.

There are 35 Windows languages, 34 language packs to download if you use Ultimate or Enterprise in addition to the language Windows was installed. If you have 37 optional updates available, three of them are not language packs and might be important driver updates for third party devices.
