Windows Activation Issues Error Code 0x8007005

I've recently run in to activation issues with my Windows 7 Pro. A few months ago I cloned my HDD onto a new Samsung EVO SSD 250Gb. Everything was working fine until a few weeks later Microsoft pushed an auto updat; all of the sudden Windows was failing activation giving an error code: 0x8007005. I then preformed a clean install of windows on the same SSD drive. It activated online with no issues but after the 190 or so automatic updates it again was failing the activation. I called Microsoft to help troubleshoot the issue and they did a remote connection. We've installed the OS about 5 times with microsoft tech at the helm all with the same outcome.

Microsoft sent me a new replacement DVD and key. I received it in the mail the other day and again did a clean install; again I passed the online activation but after the all the auto updates it reverted back to a non-genuine status.

Microsoft tech is telling me that this issue is likely due to my SSD that the OS is on because he says he has eliminated all other possibilities. With a brand new SSD from Newegg I suspect that it is not the issue but something else entirely? I am really at my wits end regarding this.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with failing activation and what was done to overcome it?

    Thanks in advance!!

    Try this please:
    1. Click Start
    2. In the search box, type cmd
    3. In the list that appears, right-click on cmd.exe and choose Run as administrator
    4. In the command window that opens, type slmgr.vbs and hit enter.

Report the output from the command window once it finishes.
