Error trying to run Windows Update on Windows 7 Home Premium

When I try to do the updates I get the error message Windows Update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running. I reformatted my hard drive in November. I ran the program Farbar Service Scanner and got the following results. I have tried to restart the computer 3 times but getting the same error. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you in advance

    Farbar Service Scanner Version: 25-02-2014

If that doesn't help, try Windows Repair (All In One).

Do all of the steps. When you get to the Repair part, click Uncheck All then select Windows Update. Run it and see if that helps.
