Window Update failing error code 800736B3

    Hi.
I have a problem with Windows Update. It continues to fail with error code 800736B3. I have tried the update troubleshooter for Windows, I have ran scannow, I also have installed the update readiness tool and hotfix.
    Still the updates fail.
I would greatly appreciate any help with this.
I have included the CBS flolder contents.
Thank you in advance for any insight!!!!!

    CheckSUR shows this...
    Code:
    Unavailable repair files:
     winsxs\manifests\msil_mscorlib.resources_b77a5c561934e089_6.1.7601.17648_en-us_6687c1de75c8e03a.manifest

I'll post a fix for it later - I have to get to work now

    I've uploaded a file - ewgaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
    Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder ewgaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be one folder inside it (Manifests, )

Copy the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

CheckSUR = Check System Update Readiness :)

Just double-click on the downloaded file again - it'll go through the same procedure as last time, and hopefully fix the problems

Noel, can you put the ewgaa.zip file in your drive again. I have the same problem and would like to try the fix you suggested. Thanks.
