    Windows Update Error 80070490

    Hello

Running Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit SP2

Been getting this error when I update windows, tried many fixes to no avail including

    Windows6.0-KB947821-v33-x86.exe
    MicrosoftFixit.wu.LB.383193783898689.1.1.Run.exe
    sfc /scannow

I have included the CBS zip file as requested by the instructions on the windows updating posting page

Any help would be great I'm a bit stuck with this one,

    Regards
    Michael

SFC doesn't appear to have found any problems - but there are a number of serious errors in the background CBS log, which may relate to the registry problems above.

I'll have a closer look later and get back to you with something.
