Intel Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1 Update - Monitor Clipping

Installing this update made my monitor turn on/off 2-3 times every second. Had to roll back to the old driver from the Lenovo site.

WDDM1.1 is rather old hat now? it's 1.2 out there.
What's the actual model number for your machine?

I did a clean install of the Windows and that happened during Windows update.

Thought I should upload a video of the problem to be more clear.

    That's a trifle weird!

However, if I'm reading things right, that's immediately after installing drivers offered by Windows Update?

If that's so, then uninstall the drivers, and hide the update in WU.
Take the latest offered update for the drivers from Lenovo instead - it is likely to me more recent than the one from WU anyhow.

What is your exact model number?

The latest available drivers from Lenovo appear to be these - AMD Video Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) - Lenovo G400, G500

Install these, and see if the WU update is still offered. With luck, they won't be :)
