What is Compatibility update for upgrading Windows 7? (KB2952664)

A Recommended Update.
"This update helps Microsoft make improvements to the current operating system in order to ease the upgrade experience to the latest version of Windows."

Anyone know what changes this update makes?

If I were to upgrade to Windows 8.1 or 9 it would be a clean install. So I'm thinking this update is unnecessary and I could hide it.

i am thinking of maybe updating to Windows 8.1 once college starts for me so this update would probably apply to me if i was updating to Windows 8.1 and also does anybody know if you would be able to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 9 or will it be required to do a clean installation because i don't want to lose my video files as all my flash drives, OneDrive and Google Drive has not enough space for them and does anybody have suggestions on where i can get some free space from signing up to a particular website thanks for suggestions

Thanks Fireberd. I saw that thread after I posted. I thought I checked. Obviously didn't to well. Thanks for the 'dope slap'!

Then I couldn't figure out how to delete the post - had to run out the door - a mess.
