    Let's try it this way.
Copy the file C:\Windows\System32\winevt\logs\Application.evtx to your desktop - compress the copy, and upload the compressed file.

No matter how many times I attempted to copy that file or compress a copy of it in it's folder I get the following message:
    Cannot open C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs\Application.evtx
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

For whatever reason Teracopy could not handle the copy job.
The builtin app did the job!

    Here is the file:

    Ooops!
Sorry about that. (shout earlier if I lose you again!)

There are a good few errors in the log - but nothing that's really specific enough for me to hang anything on.
some appear to be related to problems with Visual C++ and some to other deeper system problems.

MBAM was crashing at some point it may be a good idea to uninstall it, and reinstall a new download then run a full system scan and see what it finds.

    LOL!
    What is MBAM?
I had a long illness that whiped out some of my intermediate and short term memory.

First uninstall MBAM from Programs and Features
    Then..

Download and install Malwarebytes Anti-malware (free version) from http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ - UNtick 'Enable free trial of MBAM Premium' at the end of the installation - and update it, then run a full scan (you should see the option if you click on 'Scan' in the toolbar at the top of the main window) in your main account, and Quick scans in any other user accounts.

    Delete everything it finds
