    Windows failed to install updates

Hey guys, so im trying to do some windows updates, about 65 important updates and every time i try and do it within 5 seconds it says that i has failed to update.

Not sure why it keeps doing this.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks!

Try doing just a few at a time, like 2 or 3. See what happens.

Please Run sfc /scan now using option 2 in this tutorial: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Please post back the results.
Please indicate what message was displayed at the end:

    Windows found no integrity violations

    OR

Corrupt files were found, and windows was unable to fix them.

    OR

Corrupt files were found, and windows successfully repaired them

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data
If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

Sure you do, you read step 4 in the link Noel provided, right?

    Windows Update Posting Instructions

Basically, WU team members (or just interested members) want to see every log in the CBS folder.
Don't worry about creating a new thread, you already have this one. That step is addressed to members who post in someone else's thread.

SFC successfully repaired 480-ish files - almost all to do with the SideBar.

Have you been using some kind of cleanup tool?

I don't see any CheckSUR log file - please upload it if there's one in the folder. If not, have you run CheckSUR/SURT yet - please do so and upload the log.

    Sorry about that.

I have attached a new zip file with the SUR files in it.

    Amazingly, the CheckSUR is clear!
Do a new Check for Updates, and attempt to install ONLY the oldest update found - what happens? what error message do you get (if any)?
