Windows is not genuine build 7601 fix problem

ok, here's what ive done so far to try to fix it: ran "cmd" as admin -> typed "slmgr -rearm", pressed enter -> window pops up saying "Command completed successfully. Please restart the system for the changes to take effect" -> restarted my pc and i STILL have the "Windows is not genuine build 7601" error. and ive also already tried the regedit SkipReam "00000000 to 00000001" thing as well, still didn't work. can someone please tell me how to fix this. thanks

What anti virus software is on the machine? Have you downloaded any other anti virus programs? Doesn't mtter whether you have activated them or not. This problem can be caused by different A/V's clashing. Where did your copy of Windows 7 Home Premium come from?

AVG is probably the problem. Go to this and download the AVG Uninstaller,

you must use this, normal program uninstall through control panel will not work. Then when AVG is completely uninstalled install Microsoft Security Essentials. See if that cures your problem!

Have you installed MSE as I advised?
You say ou bought this PC 1 or 2 years ago. Has it been working OK before. If so what did you do immediately before this latest problem appeared? was Window activated before? Have you not got a Windows sticker on the side or back of the case with the key number?
    Try this please.
Click the Start orb, then right click on Computer, then right click on Properties, scroll down to Windows Activation and post a screenshot of that part of the window.

You might find it useful to check your version of Windows by following this guide:

Please follow this tutorial and post an MGADiag report - then we can see what the problem is.

    https://www.sevenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/234159-windows-genuine-activation-issue-posting-instructions.html

Ignore errors produced when clicking on the Copy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup files for some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to your response.

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!
