Windows 7 Update Error 800f0900 after removing malware

I removed tons of malware from a client's laptop. Afterwards, KB2871997 needed to install and produced error code 800f0900 after attempting installation.
I have run SURT and SFC, as well as Tweaking All-In-One Repair tool, with no success in fixing the problem.
My zipped CBS folder is 22 mb, so it will not upload here. I have uploaded it to one of my sites at: http://darrwebsolutions.com/CBS.zip

The CheckSUR results show some interesting file corruption - but the important bit is that it needs these files for repair...
Code:
Unavailable repair files:
 winsxs\manifests\amd64_902b1a57d59aee60f25bc95a722f516a_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.22616_none_296f64ef285fcdf2.manifest

 servicing\packages\Package_4_for_KB2922229~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.2.mum
 servicing\packages\Package_2_for_KB2922229~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.2.cat
 servicing\packages\Package_4_for_KB2922229~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.2.cat
All the errors in the CBS.log itself relate to the above problems.

The SFC log is clear.

I'll post a fix protocol for the errors a little later.

I've uploaded a file - bdraa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder bdraa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

Odd - one of the files wasn't replaced properly.
Code:
Unavailable repair files:
 servicing\packages\Package_4_for_KB2922229~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.2.mum
 servicing\packages\Package_4_for_KB2922229~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.2.cat
it looks as if the scan didn't find the proper match for some reason - this could be a hash error, or file corruption from my end.

second scan..
Code:
(f) CBS MUM Corrupt 0x800F0900 servicing\Packages\Package_2_for_KB2922229~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.2.mum Line 1: Eřhǁh4arX2

please upload the entire CBS folder again - it should have related entries to tell us what the problem is.

Thanks again, NoelDP. I decided to reformat and reinstall, after I found that the antivirus was also corrupted and wouldn't reinstall, either.
