Error Codes C0000022 0x000001A8 Win Update and Activation Problems

    Hello,

since some days i get those Error Codes, and i can't activate my Windows (it was activated already and suddenly it says it's not activated anymore), can't make any Updates and in the rightclick computer -> settings it says at the point about Activation : not available.
I uses sfc /scannow several times and did a restart between it, installed SURT but nothing helped.
I also get an error message, when i clock on copy in the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool, i attached it to this post aswell as the Update Error Screen and the CBS Folder.
I tried to inplace upgrade this windows, with a Win7 Sp1 DVD but it wont finish.

For me the only way i found to input my key for activation was using "slui 3" in the cmd box but it would not activate with the error message Cx0000022, i added a screenshot of it.

The error message you got from MGADiag is common - and can be ignored, as the file almost always is properly copied to the clipboard and hence available for posting/pasting. The error itself means that the backups created couldn't be saved to disk for one reason or another.

You have a combination of error codes in the thread title which is a little unusual - but possibly not inconsistent.

    The CheckSUR is interesting...
    Code:
    Summary:
    Seconds executed: 64
     No errors detected
    (w) Unable to open Event Log 0x000006B5 Application OpenEventLog failed: 0x000006B5 - Die Schnittstelle ist unbekannt.
    .
    (w) Unable to open Event Log 0x000006B5 System OpenEventLog failed: 0x000006B5 - Die Schnittstelle ist unbekannt.
    .
The SFC scan is clear - but the background data is very interesting...
    Code:
2014-06-29 20:10:55, Error CBS Failed to ask UI handler to terminate. [HRESULT = 0x800706ba - RPC_S_SERVER_UNAVAILABLE]
2014-06-29 20:10:55, Info CBS Shtd: Changing shutdown timeout to a static timeout: 3600000
2014-06-29 20:10:56, Error CBS Failed to ask UI handler to terminate. [HRESULT = 0x800706ba - RPC_S_SERVER_UNAVAILABLE]
    2014-06-29 20:10:57, Info CBS Exec: Processing complete. Session: 30380997_179519896, Package: Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-Package-TopLevel~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~10.2.9200.16521 [HRESULT = 0x80070005 - E_ACCESSDENIED]
    2014-06-29 20:10:57, Error CBS Failed to perform operation. [HRESULT = 0x80070005 - E_ACCESSDENIED]
    2014-06-29 20:10:57, Info CBS Session: 30380997_179519896 finalized. Reboot required: no [HRESULT = 0x80070005 - E_ACCESSDENIED]
2014-06-29 20:10:57, Info CBS Ending the TrustedInstaller main loop.
This seems to stem from the following ...
    Code:
    2014-06-29 20:12:19, Info CBS Failed call to CryptCATAdminAddCatalog. [HRESULT = 0x80070005 - E_ACCESSDENIED]
This may give us a clue where the error lies...

This can result from mistakenly setting the System32 folder and its contents to 'Read Only' status.

    Open Windows Explorer (Computer)
    Navigate to the C:\Windows folder
Find the System32 sub-folder and right-click on it
    select Properties

Clear the 'blob' from the 'Read-only (Only applies to files in folder)' box by clicking on it until it's plain white.
    Click on Apply.

Make sure that the radio button for 'Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files' is set, and click OK.

Accept the Administrator prompt. After a couple of seconds, you'll be told there is an error - click on the 'Ignore all' button.

Wait for it to finish - it could take a couple of minutes.

OK out, and exit Windows Explorer.

    Reboot twice

    Post a new MGADiag report.

That looks a lot better :)

You should run CheckSUR one more time and see if the Event Log problem has also gone (I think it will) - if not then we'll work on that.

I installed Fix Windows corruption errors by using the DISM or System Update Readiness tool
this is what u meant by running CheckSUR, right ? It installed without any problems.
sfc /scannow also reported no problems.

Post the new CheckSUR.log file (C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log file) - unless it actually crashes, it never displays any errors.
