Win 7 SP1 Ultimate x64 Windows Update Fails, error code 8007370B
For 2 weeks now, I have been completely unable to get Windows Update to run properly on my Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate x64 computer. I have no idea what I did to cause this and I've done some limited troubleshooting to no avail. I would really appreciate any assistance you could offer.
Per the instructions, I have completed the following:
1) I ran the latest version of SURT for my OS.
2) I attempted to run SFC, When sfc /scannow is run from the elevated command prompt, I get the following error:
"Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."
When I attempt to run sfc /scannow from the recovery command prompt, I get this error:
"There is a system repair pending which requires a reboot". Please note that I do not have a reboot.xml or a pending.xml file in my Windows\winsxs folder.
3) When I attempt to run Windows Update, I consistently get the following error code: 8007370B. Not sure if this helps or not, but when I run the updater, I usually get the TrustedInstaller.exe process running and consuming approximately 13% CPU. Sometimes the error appears within seconds, and sometimes it takes 1 hour of Windows searching for an update before that error code will appear.
4) I have uploaded my log files here: https://app.box.com/shared/static/t1...z5kai23dh5.zip
If there is any further information required, please let me know. I would like to thank you in advance for your assistance!
Bobby
