    Windows 7 Updates not installing


    The following updates are not installing on my Windows 7 32 bit laptop:

    KB2973351 KB2952664
    KB2973337


    I have tried everything from Ccleaner to the Readiness Tool and scanned my SFC files and got this:

    By the looks of it, you've been using Advanced System Destruction Care.

    I'll post a fix for the package errors a bit later, and a second for the payload files after that. (Have to set up a different VM for x86)

    The CAT files are the security certificates for updates - the MUM files define which files to apply the certificates to.


    That looks a lot better - I'll post a fix for the remaining ones later.

    I've uploaded a file - mcgaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
    Please download and save it.
    Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
    Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder mcgaa in the same place.
    Open this folder - there should be one folder inside it ( Packages)

    Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages


    Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

    Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

    BUT: I am still getting error codes for the famous 3 KB´s when trying to update them. (2973351, 2952664 and 2973337).

    The error codes are now 2!! 8007371b and 80073701.

    Any reasons why now that all my files are fixed and the CheckSur log looks good?

    Please run SFC /SCANNOW again, and post the new CBS.log file.
