Update error 800B0100 for KB976932

Hi,

I cannot install Windows 7 SP1 (KB976932), getting error 800B0100.

I've run the System Update Readiness Tool and here is content of CheckSUR.log

Could you please help me to get the missing repair files?

I've uploaded a file - bbfaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder bbfaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

That's cleared the CheckSUR problems, at least.

Run SFC /SCANNOW and see if that also clear - if it is, then try Windows Update again. Otherwise, post the CBS.log file and we'll work on that.

Hi,

I have run SFC / Scannow and the result is "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

So I have tried to install Windows 7 SP1 (KB976932) but it failed, I get error code 80200053.

What should I do?

The problem seems to be that the files aren't being downloaded properly for whatever reason - try installing from the standalone.
Download Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (KB976932) from Official Microsoft Download Center
You'll need the
windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe
file

When I had errors in CheckSUR, installation from the standalone was not working.
Now that problems are solved in CheckSUR, installation from standalone is fine!
I can now get new updates from Windows Update, many thanks for your help!
I mark this thread as solved.
