    Sorry - brain-fart!
    Should have been

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\AFD

What rights do each user have (in the bottom section of the popup)?
    haha no problem :)

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\AFD

    Creator-Owner: has special permissions
System: has full access (I think that's the right translation; first box) and read
Administrator: has full access and read
    User: has only read

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_AFD

    Everyone: only read
    Ownerrights: only special permissions
System: has full access and read

I also did the commands mentioned above.
It said: "1 file successfully processed, 0 files had a processing error."

I safed a copy of the output.

I need to see the output - it has details I may get clues from.
It's OK about the translation - I can puzzle my way through both German and French (ang Google does what I can't anyhow)

    Haha okay :)
    File is in the attachment.

It seems like I have connection problems with some programs (Steam Client)*.
Browser works fine so far and TeamSpeak Version 3.0

I'll wait a bit before I import the registry backup.

*Edit: Servers from Steam are down. haha Asked some friends and the steamstat.us page also shows that some servers are down.

All of that looks normal - you may want to consider tweaking one of the settings a little to improve upload speeds once we get it sorted out.
Appendix C: Windows Sockets and DNS Registry Parameters

I think I'm too square-eyed to make much sense now (I've been at the PC for 18 hours)
    I'll see you tomorrow!

In reference/to solve to my Steam problem? (also: just found out that the service-servers itself are down. "lucky" incident. haha)

Anyway, I'll read a bit trough tomorrow. Even when I can't use it. At least I learn something. :)

    Sorry about the late response!

How did this weeks updates go? - or did you have WU switched off?
As I recall, we left it with just KB2961072 needing to be installed.

Please run SFC and CheckSUR again, and post the new CBS folder.

    Hey Noel!

No problem, was busy myself! ;-)

Yes I switched it off because it self-installed itself again and again (still not working).
And also because of the problems with the new updates. It's probably
better to solve the first andventure dungeon before I start the next. ;-)

About the logs: Done, it's in the attachment!

Any ideas right know what I could do?

By the way, if there is a way to delete all windows updates (no drivers or
programs, that's important! Only the updates from the windows installer!)
and then install all updates properly, I wouldn't mind that much. Yeah it
takes some time, but in the long run, it could be done in a few hours. haha

    (Sorry for the long wait!)
What you're suggesting there is effectively a repair install - without the benefits of repairing any faults in the base OS

Have a look here for details of a repair install...
