PROBLEM with 8/15 MS Office update

Today (8/15) MS Office wanted to install an update to my laptop (MS OFFICE Starter). It downloaded via wifi and all seemed aok UNTIL I tried to use any MS Office component, WORD, EXCEL, etc. Now every time I try and open anything OFfice I get a INFO box that states" MS Office is downloading the required feature and may be unresponsive as files are downloaded." THe system is NOT DOWNLOADING as my wifi router shows it to be idle when I try to open EXCEL/WORD. (The wifi router works aok with everything else) I checked to see if any MS OFFICE updates appear in my update listing, but none are there. At this point I have no usuable MS Office. I'd be glad to have my version prior to the update! I tried restoring the system to 8/13 point but didn't help!

    HELP!!!

Which version of Office? I've seen that problem with Office 365 on a couple of computers and seemed to get it cleared up when I right-clicked the winword.exe file or its Shortcut icon and chose Run as Administrator.

Because your Office came with your computer could by chance be a trial version of Office?

Not a trial, paid extra to get it and has worked well for two yrs. I think MS screwed up again. Thete is a file somewhere that when deleted will release the recurring msg. This was the case an update or two ago eith a similar msg.

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data
If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

    Attached cbs file

I ran the SURT, and then it did a scan.
No windows error codes were displayed
Found the CBS folder and zipped it, but kept getting an error code.
    Split CBS in to three folders 1 @ 4.3mb, 1 @ 5.7mb, and 1 @ 6.4 mb, and then zipped all three
    Uploaded each , 1 at a time.
