Validation of Windows 7 problem after updates.
For a while now I have had to deal with a validation problem after some updates. I purchased Windows 7 Pro from a reputable computer shop when I was having a major upgrade and they installed it for me. Everything was great until recently. The problem is that I live in Spain and the guy in the shop does not speak English but he can normally see the problem. I took it to him 3 weeks ago when my screen went black and the message came up saying that my Windows was not genuine. He called the Spanish number although it seemed to be automated, but it cleared the problem for a week. After a Windows update one week ago it happened again so I tried to activate using the key on my disc box but it didnīt work. Sorry but I have to use a "Dummies Book" as I am not too savvy when it comes to PCīs and where to look. After looking at Control Panel/System I discovered that the key on my PC is different to that on the box. I validated using that key and it was back to normal until another Windows update yesterday. Same problem but it took me several attempts to get the validation to work. I am aware that at least one of the updates failed yesterday but I feel reluctant to try again or I shall be in the vicious circle again.
I canīt afford to call technical support in the UK and I donīt understand them in Spain. Can you help please?
