Finally managed to get to it...
I think I found the error - but I don't know if I managed to fix it properly.

I've uploaded a file - szzab.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it to your desktop.
Right-click on the file and select Extract All, and save to the default destination (which should be a folder on the desktop)

Create a new System Restore point

Open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following commands.

REN C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS COMPONENTS.OLD1
COPY %userprofile%\desktop\szzab\COMPONENTS C:\Windows\System32\config

If you get an error with either command, STOP THERE - do not reboot! - post for instructions.

Assuming both commands go OK, reboot, and run another CheckSUR scan - post the new CheckSUR.log file.

You did extract the szzab.zip file to the desktop?? - and it created the szzab folder there?

It didn't create a folder, no..But it did extract the file onto the Desktop, itself

Should I create a folder and name it, as "szzab" And place the file into the folder?

yep- that second command relies on the file being inside the correct folder.

I have noticed the file that is named "components" Is in lower-case..And the command above is in Upper-case..If that makes a difference? Should I rename the file, in capitals, and see what happens from there?

That shouldn't make any difference - windows is case-insensitive
Please run the following commands

DIR %userprofile%\desktop\szzab
DIR C:\Windows\system32\config\COMP*.*

post the results.

Where did you create that folder?
simply right-click on the desktop and select 'New...' > Folder and rename the resulting folder to 'szzab' (without the quotes)
them move the COMPONENTS file into it.
