    Error 8024200D while installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1 x64 KB976932

    Hello,

    I'm trying to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 x64 KB976932 but i keep getting Error 8024200D.

    1) did start SFC Scan 5 times - no noticeable error notified. "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."
    2) downloaded the "System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7" for Windows 7 x64
    3) started it and attached the logs
    4) found an entry in the forum for this error but didn't help. cbs.zip contains only cbs.log (made a copy cause windows wouldn't let me zip it - file being accessed)

    Thanks for your help,
    Thibaud

I also tried to download the KB2478661 (Windows6.1-KB2478661-x64.msu) that appears in the checksur.log and copy directly the unavailable files to packages but didn't help that much.

    Code:
    Unavailable repair files:
        servicing\packages\Package_for_KB2478661~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.mum

You can't usually just copy the files - they have to be properly inserted

    I've uploaded a file - dmtaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
    Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder dmtaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be one folder inside it (Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

    Dear Noel,

Went to Noels Onedrive site, but can't locate dmtaa.zip. As I suffer from the same phenomena as
described by Dolomitt, I am much intersted by curing it.

    With kind regards,
    Dee M.
