    2 KB's Failing update since July?


    KB2973351 & KB2973337 have been failing install since July with error 80070490. Poor system has been trying every day.

    Several months ago I was having bad problems with Windows Update. I finally got ahold of Microsoft's remote service. They had it fixed in an hour (LogMeIn is the service that some folks in India take over your system). Anyway they fixed it and ever since it has worked perfectly, until now. I've tried manual installs and read about and tried several fixes with no results. I've done searches on these two KB's and all I could find out was that I'm not the only one with problems installing these two.
    Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data
    If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)
