    OK- I goofed again

    This SHOULD work....
    Code:
    IF EXIST C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS.OLD1 DEL C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS.OLD1
    REN C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS COMPONENTS.OLD1

    COPY %userprofile%\desktop\wfire\COMPONENTS C:\Windows\System32\config

i had to replace 'wfire\COMPONENTS' with 'spsab\COMPONENTS'... not sure if you meant for me to get a new folder or not.

My fault - sorry about that!
I missed a second error in one instance.

    Code:
    Checking Component Store
    (f) CSI C Mark Deployment Missing 0x00000000 c!wcf-http-ac..-deployment_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_7fbAbace0a6400e6 amd64_wcf-http-activation-feature_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_fa64b8e9b9ea9fd9
Please upload the new COMPONENTS file so I can have another bash at it.

    I've uploaded a file - spsac.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it to your desktop.
Right-click on the file and select Extract All, and save to the default destination (which should be a folder on the desktop)

Create a new System Restore point

Open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following commands.

    Code:
    IF EXIST C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS.OLD1 DEL C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS.OLD1
    REN C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS COMPONENTS.OLD1
    COPY %userprofile%\desktop\spsac\COMPONENTS C:\Windows\System32\config

    .

If you get an error with either command, STOP THERE - do not reboot! - post for instructions.

Assuming both commands go OK, reboot, and run another CheckSUR scan - post the new CheckSUR.log file.

    Great!

Now do a new Check for Updates, and attempt to install ONLY the oldest one found.

If it installs OK, try the rest
If it fails, post the C:\windows\windowsupdate.log file, and the error code and KBnumber

The error you're getting is a strange one....

    Code:
2014-11-01 16:48:41:143 472 6a4 Setup SelfUpdate handler update NOT required: Current version: 7.6.7600.320, required version: 7.6.7600.320
    2014-11-01 16:48:41:143 472 6a4 Setup Evaluating applicability of setup package "WUClient-SelfUpdate-ActiveX~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~7.6.7600.320"
    2014-11-01 16:48:41:528 472 6a4 Setup WARNING: Cbs StartSession, error = 0x80070002
    2014-11-01 16:48:41:528 472 6a4 Setup FATAL: Applicability evaluation for setup package "WUClient-SelfUpdate-ActiveX~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~7.6.7600.320" failed, error = 0x80070002
    2014-11-01 16:48:41:528 472 6a4 Setup FATAL: SelfUpdate check failed, err = 0x80070002
    2014-11-01 16:48:41:528 472 6a4 Agent * WARNING: Skipping scan, self-update check returned 0x80070002
    2014-11-01 16:48:41:528 472 6a4 Agent * WARNING: Exit code = 0x80070002
I have no idea why it should first say that it doesn't need the update, but then attempts to test applicability.

Have we tried a repair install yet?
