Wiped & re-installed Win on Asus notebook - Win 7 Product Key blocked

    Hi,

I recently wiped the HD and re-installed the OS on a 3-year-old Asus N53Jf notebook. It came with Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed.

There were no system disks but it had a System Recovery partition. I had made a set of system recovery DVDs as they recommended but when running them on the newly reformatted computer, disk 4 of 5 was corrupted and I couldn't use that method. (Yes, the HD recovery partition was wiped since I thought I was covered by the DVDs.)

So I downloaded an iso for Win7 HP 64-bit from Microsoft site and installed from a bootable USB.

The Product Key was rejected (Error Code 0xC004E003) and when I phoned Microsoft they said the key was "blocked" and I had to contact Asus.

Asus support is unbelievably bad. I tried contacting them through several channels and they won't address my issue.

The Product Key was never used on any other system except the laptop.

Would really appreciate any advice? The MGADIAG output is below.

    Thanks.

Found the solution (wrong product key, I was using the manufacturer OEM master key, which the Belarc system scan was reporting).
