    Custom APU build, but has several windows update errors after instal


    Hello, I just built a low cost PC for my parents, but I'm having trouble with several updates after I installed windows 7 Pro x64.

    I've tried going through the "get help with this error" link, but with no luck/confusing instructions.

    Code 800B0100

    Code 800F0902

    Code 9C57

    "Windows can't update important files and services while the system is using them. Save any open files, and then restart the computer."

    I've tried restarting, but none of the updates go through.

    There's an image of the specs, and the error codes in the attachments.

    I'm confused by what you mean by you don't see any files...

    I attached a photo under the last sentence, if you didn't see that.

    I was also quoting what windows update was telling me. which I got 3 error codes posted above and that line under the codes.

    I need the files generated by CheckSUR/SURT and the SFC...

    Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data
    If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

    Ok so I followed given instructions in the link you gave me

    First I reattempted the update, this time getting 2 Error Codes. All important and optional updates failed.

    I've got most of the files now...

    I've uploaded a file - ootaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
    Please download and save it.
    Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
    Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder ootaa in the same place.
    Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

    Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

    And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

    Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

    Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.
