So system restore is enabled now.... nice.
Open windows updates and install the updates but only 2 at once and reboot to be sure all is still fine. If system doesn't boot afterwards 1 of the 2 patches is faulty. Try to install only one in that case and reboot. You can use system restore to rollback the last 2 patches.

I expect KB2949927 to be the culprit. So do that patch last!

What patch number is the culprit?

Did you install all the patches already? If not... how many to go?

Microsoft yanks botched patch KB 2949927, re-issues KB 2952664 | InfoWorld
KB2949927 has been yanked by microsoft!

That was one of the patches. But it's not in the list anymore... correct?
Problem solved?

I advise you to have system restore enabled. It can save you a lot of headaches. And make backups!
