    Windows Not Genuine Error

Over this past summer around June I helped my dad purchase retail copies of windows 7, and install/upgrade his work computers with Windows 7 professional 64 bit from the windows xp that they had all been running since it was no longer going to be covered by Microsoft. In the past month, all 5 computers have had the "Windows Build 7601 Not Genuine" message pop up in the bottom right hand corner with the black screen etc...

After browsing these forums for the past 2 weeks, I've tried just about everything I can to get them working again without having to buy new Windows 7 Codes. I know the OS software is genuine because when I run the validation test online it always says, "Congratulations, you're running genuine windows, download the MSE stuff for free etc...."

Anyways... I did clean installs from scratch, so nothing was left on the computers beforehand, but used windows easy transfer to transfer their files and settings back to the computers afterwords. We installed all the software from corporate that they needed and it was generally just a huge pain to get everything re-imported (especially with their outlook profiles and settings) and back up in running smoothly; however, we managed. Now though, after about 5ish months even after all 5 computers have had windows running fine, activated, and updating regularly, they've all decided to no longer be genuine as it stated above. The error that we keep getting is:

    Code:
    Code: 0xC004C003
      Description:
The activation server determined that the specified product key has been blocked
So, unless I bought faulty OS keys (which I really don't think I did because the company I bought them from has been sincere in working with me on the problem and replacing codes as they go bad) I can't figure this out.

2 of the computers have since gotten new keys and seem to be working fine again, 1 we rarely use so I'm not super worried about it, but the other 2 are laptops and don't seem to respond even if the new key is put into it, so I'm really starting to think that it's a problem with some update that they all downloaded or something as I've read that sometimes windows updates can cause this problem.

I've already re-created the licensing store, re-armed the activation, and tried just about everything apart from deleting the slui.exe file completely or popping in the windows 7 cd to do a repair and try to fix it.

Here is the MAG Diag for one of the laptops that I just ran today:

Any suggestions on how to go about fixing this problem? I really appreciate any help in advanced that I receive.

    Thanks,
    David

OH! Almost forgot.... I did not put any AV software on any of the computers, nor did the installation come with any. So unless some of it got transfered over with the old files (which I wouldn't even know what AV they were using before I updated it) there shouldn't be any traces of anything on their computers other than MSE that corporate put on them.

The Key in use is an MSDN Key from a not-for-resale MSDN account.
Unless you are an MSDN subscriber, you are not entitled to use the Key – and whoever sold it to you was not entitled to do so.
You need to claim an immediate refund from the vendor - do NOT accept the offer of a new key (all they are trying to do is to get past the 45-day claims window or avoid you sending the evidence of their crimes to the authorities)

The pirates have got VERY good at this over the past few years, as the price of equipment for manufacturing the packages drops, and as factories open in less well-policed countries.

You may be able to get a complimentary copy of the OS from Microsoft - fill in the Counterfeit report here...

Thanks NoelDP! I really appreciate it. It wasn't the news I was hoping for but was what I had secretly been suspecting. I'll fill out the reports and see what happens but otherwise we'll just have to buy new codes.

    Thanks again for your help!

If I remember right, MS has a one kit per household rule - so the best you can expect is one new Windows license

    Good luck!
