Question about instaling some windows updates or not. (KB codes)

Dear sevenforumers,

I was checking my updates again and noticed I still haven't installed a few windows updates, 5 of which were "important".

I haven't got much experience in deciding when to install an update and when not, usually I try to figure this out by asking for others opinions and searching on the forums.

Here is a list of updates that I could not decide on whether installing them would be beneficial or not.
It would be awesome if you could help me in this matter.

Thank you in advance!

Kb2574819 is reasonably important - it's a security enhancement
KB2592687 isn't really important unless you use Remote Desktop at all
Kb2973337 is important - it's a security enhancement
Kb2985461 is a bugfix - but not one you're likely to need.
Kb2998527 is a Time Zone Update - and will probably have been superseded by a more recent one anyhow
Kb3000869 is important - it's s security bugfix.
Kb3001554 is optional and possibly unnecessary unless you're playing DVDs a lot.

You should check with your laptop's manufacturer about the Driver updates - they may have more recent ones, or they may use tweaked ones.

Thank you very much!
It helps a lot May I ask how you determine when new updates come up, which are important and which are not?

Generally, I regard ALL updates as 'important' - they aren't released without good reason, and generally lead to a smoother-running system.
Drivers are a little different, and I usually check the manufacturer's site to see if there are better/newer options available there, although mostly the ones offered by WU are satisfactory.
