Here's the result of the CHKDSK
Code:
CHKDSK is verifying security descriptors (stage 3 of 5)...
149248 file SDs/SIDs processed. Cleaning up 188 unused index entries from index $SII of file 0x9.
Cleaning up 188 unused index entries from index $SDH of file 0x9.
Cleaning up 188 unused security descriptors.
Security descriptor verification completed.
21046 data files processed. CHKDSK is verifying Usn Journal...
37479752 USN bytes processed. Usn Journal verification completed.
CHKDSK is verifying file data (stage 4 of 5)...
149232 files processed. File data verification completed.
CHKDSK is verifying free space (stage 5 of 5)...
42760326 free clusters processed. Free space verification is complete.
Windows has checked the file system and found no problems.
Not too bad- possibly the result of a system crash at some point.

The Application log is now pretty clear - I'll take a look at the System log later (gotta get to work )

Hmm - I thought I'd come back on this. I know I had a good look at the System logs.

try this...
Open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following commands

REG LOAD HKLM\COMPONENTS C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS
REG DELETE HKLM\COMPONENTS /V PendingRequired

then reboot, and try Windows Update again.

Hmm -
I couldn't actually find the CHKDSK results in the logs anywhere - did you run it? did it find anything??

I don't think this is the cause of your problems - but it's worth running the Fixit from this page to hopefully get rid of a few of the incidental errors...
Event ID 10 is logged in the Application log after you install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

Then reboot and attempt to install ONLY the oldest update found.
reboot again
post the following files

CBS.log
the newest CBSPersist file
C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log
fresh Application and System event logs.

Please post the C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log file
It looks as if Windows 7 SP1 still hasn't been installed?

I have no cbs persist in my files I was deleting them after i sent them to you cos i had like 3 of them .. guessing that was bad

Not bad - they'll get rebuilt over time, and the oldest one gets deleted anyhow once there are more than 5 there.

Hmmm - I didn't realised that Novatech were doing custom BIOS nowadays!?

Looking at the windowsupdate.log there appears to be nothing whatever wrong with Windows Update - all updates have installed properly.

hmmm lol , well when the updates failed i checked the ones that said they had failed against the installed list and they wernt there.. maybe it just did it after one of your other fixes and I failed to notice if they where small I have a SSD so smaller stuff installs so fast .. sorry to waste your time man and Im really thankfull for your help.. again very sorry to have wasted your time.

EDIT: Not sure about the bios just bought a motherboard and cpu bundle

EDIT2: I did rename the %windir%/SoftwareDistribution which a few threads I had read before I got here has said can fix the issue and it cleared my installed updates list from the windows update page , I dunno if this could be the cause of them now showing up in the update log ?
