Not looking good... I completed the repair and activated windows. Everything seemed to be functioning properly. I installed 119 important updates last night and they installed successfully. I rebooted to finish the install and it made it to step 5 of 5 and then showed failure configuring windows updates... reverting changes. It has been cycling for 2 hours. Once I get back in ill check the errors and see how many actually installed.

Most likely none of them have been installed.
Install only 3 random patches in the list. Install fine? If so...... reboot and then....
Install 10 updates at a time and reboot afterwards. Write down which ones you did! If succesfull...

    etc.

If some patches faill to install.... try another bunch of 10 patches.
If you know the bunch of 10 faulty patches.... install only first 5, and last 5 later.
So try to determine which patch is blocking the update process.

    Post results.

This is brutal.. 2 days trying to install these updates. Errors codes 8007054F & 800F0826. I have it narrowed down to 36 important and 9 optional. Should I upload another CBS log?

There's similar error codes in this thread but i'm assuming the resolution here was based on different errors in the logs.

Windows Update fails repeatedly. Codes 8007054F, 9C59, 800F0826

Please let me know if you have any other ideas or if you ever heard back from the calvary.

Install just 3 important updates. Do it random so not just the first 3!!
    Or try only one.

I've attempted 3 random many times and also one at random multiple times. Everytime after it fails I have to log back in and select check for updates and wait for them to load and then try again. It's a good thing I have patience.

Please uninstall 2 patches, reboot, and try to install 1 patch that didn't install correctly. Post results.
I want to know if the problem is related to the patches (very unlikely 36 of them are faulty).
