There is something very odd going on here - it looks to me as if this Key should be for Windows 7 Enterprise, rather than Pro.
Please install the WAT update KB971033 from here...

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971033

Reboot TWICE and attempt validation at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate

run another MGADiagreport, and post it.

That looks normal enough - although I see no sign that you tried to validate it?

What exact error do you get when you attempt activation?

I ran the link you advised, rebooted twice and checked the URL and it said windows was genuine

I tried activating and the error is 'Your computer could not connect to the online activation service' I can then call Microsoft and activate over the phone, but this is time consuming

here is another log, after I tried to activate

It takes less than 5 minutes usually to activate by phone - how long have you spent on this?

Have you checked your firewall settings both in the guest and host systems? What form of networking is set up between the guest and the host/internet? (I would suggest using NAT)

I have quite a few machines to activate, so it can take a while

Internet, works fine, and the firewall is disabled

I really just wanted to see if there was anything obvious I was missing, that could easily fix this

    I can live with it.....

    Thanks for your help though

Ah - multiple machines? I thought it was just the one..
It may be a configuration problem somewhere in the networking (which is not one of my best areas).
I assume that this is inside a company network (even if not actually on the domain)?
Can you take a machine outside the company environment at see whether activation occurs OK?
Sometimes this type of problem is external to the machine.
