    Wow, happened to me just one minute ago! Patched my test box on Tuesday then today, while NOT connected to the Internet, up popped the not genuine message but checking Control Panel > System shows it is OK.

    Hmm.

    Thank You richc46, I googled the kb number and found the update.

    I downloaded it installed and have run the genuine check and passed.

    The sense of relief now its fixed is amazing....A happy old man again

    Getting that not genuine popup was like going through the check out and the alarm going off when you know you have paid

    Applied the patch yesterday.

    Today the Not Genuine returned.
