Another 0x8004fe21 Genuine Activation problem

Both the updates you talk about were released some time ago - it's likely that you had other problems which prevented detection.
Please start a new thread, and follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

It looks like my problem is totally solved. Atleast, I'm going to label this as solved since I have yet to see another popup. Even after another reboot (which happened because my Comodo updated, I can find no note of bug fixing for this problem though) my comp has been on for about uhmm 16 hours or so without any popups. Looks like the storm is over again, I wonder when MS will cripple my machine again... lol.

I hope so, too. But I had my machine on for at least that long, using it overnight, no popups. Then when I started using it this morning, Genuine Windows warning popped up again.

Yeah it could come back at any moment really. Mine was gone before as well and came back once but haven't seen it since. My comp has been on all day, I've been gaming on it so I've constantly been around it but haven't seen anything come back yet. Doesn't mean I'm out of the woods for certain but I'll just see what happens :P.
