Oh Microsoft, Install an update to fix a bad update.. I'd rather have people just remove it completely. Thanks for the info, Gene.

KB3024777 error code 3
KB3024777 that is supposed to remove the previous patch keeps failing with an Error Code of 3. According to this link for System Error Codes, an error code of 3 means ERROR_PATH_NOT_FOUND 3 (0x3) The system cannot find the path specified. If that is indeed true, does that means the...

Windows update ("KB3024777")
I have this same problem. To give full details, there are NO specific operational problems that I can detect. What happens is that KB3024777 is listed in the updates to be run. When I turn the computer off, that update tries to run - and fails. The comp then turns off as expected. The only reason I...

A "non-existent" Windows update ("KB3024777") even Google can't find
I'm not sure what this is in Windows Update , but how is it possible to have no results in Google on this KB that's in Windows Update? I also clicked on the "more information" for the Microsoft Knowledge Base, but nothing came up there either. http://www.imagesup.net/?di=614183414306

Still getting non-genuine message after KB3024777
Yesterday I downloaded 777. So apparently 777 was supposed to fix this issue caused by the previous update (KB3004394) which I did not uninstall after some posts told me not to. But I still get error messages telling me windows isn't genuine even though it is. Here's my MGA diagnostic:...

Update KB3024777 makes system unstable
If I install the Windows updare KB3024777 the system becomes unstable and no program will start. I have had to disable Windows Update for that, but I will be unable to update my Windows 7. Any solution? Thanks in advance.

Restarting fixes everything?
Windows has taught me (through the error that Vista managed to generate when i was using it) that the 'restart' button is a useful tool. More as a comment on Windows 7 than a complaint, the main issue I have encountered in a meagre 4 days of use is that the computer always manages to discover...
